I love maps & graph paper.

Maps + Graph Paper make my heart happy.  So why not combine the two into something even more amazing? ... a handmade journal! My close friends know that I have a little bit of a journal obsession. I've made several books in college, but have never had the courage (or time) to create journals.

Welp. Today, while crafting/skyping with my bestie Molly, I attempted my first set :)

I'll be creating a series of 8.5 x 5.5" journals, each with a unique cover made from old maps, and the inside is red graph paper! *swoon* These will find their way to my Etsy shop soon!

a few of the fun papers i'll use for the journal covers!

Kasey says I'm not a blogger.

Oh, Kasey :) I knew I'd get called out for this at some point, but tonight you laid it all on the table ... right next to our yummy Chuy's margaritas.

I don't blog enough.

To be fair, that is a completely true statement. With my new found venture, I'm making it a point to blog as often as I can, starting with a blog post about my pretty darn amazing friend Kasey. She and I started out as classmates in Leslie Kitten's Photography 101 class while at Texas Tech. We were both a lot more shy back then, but quickly became friends while planning fun shoots like this one on the laundromat in Post, Texas.

yikes on the huge logo ... are we on a roller coaster here?

I KNOW we've come a long way since that photo! You have become not only a great resource for my business as my go-to second shooter, but a great friend of mine. I always push for clients to hire a second photographer so that we can hang out :) Especially because we get to take awesome photos like THIS!

i love awesome mirror shots ;)

But seriously, I'm posting this because I am so thankful to have a great friend in Houston that gets my crazy photography life, bride-zillas and all ;) I'm looking forward to our WPPI Road Trip to Austin in a few weeks ... let the adventures continue!

well, hi there.

Hey friends!

I'm sure most of you are thinking, well it's about time she finished her website ... yes, you're right. I've been freelancing on my own full-time since June 1st and, six weeks later, have finally found a free weekend to set myself up on the world wide web!

So here it is, the new home of Lynsey Creative! I am very excited to be sharing project updates, photo shoots, and crafty adventures both here and on the Lynsey Creative Facebook page.
